Oh my word, you guys, this book was incredible!!!
Lady Merry Ellison is an outlaw and a fugitive, wanted by the king for her father’s treachery. One of the few survivors of her village–along with a group of children–she is determined to keep them safe all costs, even if that includes thievery such as the great Robin of the Hoyde is known.
Called the Ghosts of Farthingale Forest, her little band survive unnoticed until someone from her past, Timothy Grey, seeks them out for reward.
Will Timothy turn them in once he knows who the “ghosts” truly are? Will she ever receive pardon from the king, or does she even want to? Find out in this epic adventure by Dina Sleiman.
And when I say epic, I do mean epic. I could not put this stinkin’ book down. Nor have I ever felt such distress over the plight of a fictional character before.
Her characters are exquisite, her historical details sheer perfection–they shine so much light on the Robin Hood legends!–and the ending so unexpected and satisfactory, I was literally cheering. Out loud. It’s a good thing my husband is used to me by now.
Dina Sleiman just may go on my list of “must read everything this girl has written.” At least I know book two, whenever that comes out, is on my “must read” list.
When I say read this book, I mean get it this instant and read it right away!
It is excellent!

Oh, Dina, thank you so much for reading this review! And commenting! You quite possibly made my year!!! :) I’ve read Love in Three-Quarter Time (because Dauntless was so freaking good) and adored it. Now that I know you have more books, I’ll have to read those too! Thanks so much! :) Have a blessed and marvelous day!

Just stumbled on this very wonderful and enthusiastic review. I noticed you’re a dancer, which just means you DEFINITELY have to read everything I’ve written, since my other three books all involve dance! I’m a dancer too, no wonder the instant affinity :)
