Today’s the day! Zombie Takeover’s release day!
How do I feel about that?
I feel like I could run up a mountain. Wrestle a grizzly. Scream and cry and laugh and howl and sob all at once. (But I won’t. Cause that’d just be scary.) ;)
I thought this day would never come.
(Although I was seriously freaking out because they didn’t have my paperback available for preorder on Amazon till yesterday. Oh. My. Goodness. Scare me, why don’t you?)
I was so worried people wouldn’t like it, but everyone who has reviewed it has loved it. Yay!
My heart aches with the happiness of it all.
I’m going to spend the day floating on clouds, stroking the cover of my precious (did I say that out loud?), and taking myself out for an ice cream cone. I mean, the kids. I’m taking the kids out for an ice cream cone.
This is a great day!
MY. BOOK. IS. OUT.
Thank you, Lord, for your goodness to me! I love you!
In Him,
Michele
Zombie Takeover
Zombie Takeover is the first book in the Candace Marshall Chronicles.
Semi-finalist in the 2016 Genesis Award from ACFW (American Christian Fiction Writers)
Finalist in the 2016 Excellence in Editing Award from Christian Editor Connection
I was the bravest, fiercest warrior, singlehandedly stopping the zombie apocalypse and earning the respect and admiration of all who fought with me.
Just kidding. I pretty much peed my pants and wasted a ton of ammo. At least everyone else shot what they were aiming at. Me? Not so much.
This is my story—me, Candace Marshall, world’s biggest scaredy-cat, facing my biggest fear. Zombies. It was awesome. (As in, not at all.)

Candace Marshall hates zombie movies. She hates anything scary, in fact. In his usual, not-so-thoughtful way, her boyfriend surprises her with advanced screening tickets to the latest zombie flick, complete with interactive features and a tour. For her birthday.
Horror becomes reality when an experiment gone wrong transforms her peaceful town into a mass of slathering zombies. Thrown together with the only other survivor, Gavin Bailey, her favorite actor and secret crush, she somehow fights her way through the mess, making plenty of blunders and surprising herself with . . . courage?
But, just when Candace thinks it can’t get worse than zombies, it does.
